Director Camila Cornelsen Brings Distinctive Lens to aftrhrs. 

aftrhrs. is known within the advertising world for its cutting-edge style on everything its artists touch, and director Camila Cornelsen is a promising addition to the content studio’s distinctive directorial team. Camila is an experimental talent that has worked on an expansive array of subjects within her visual storytelling.  A few notable brands that she has worked alongside include Nike, Apple, Vogue, Google, Instagram, and Facebook. Some of the distinguishing features of her work are her use of bright colors, soft lighting, retro details, and the testimonials of real human beings telling real human stories. She pulls inspiration from the relatability and the romantic of everyday life. Camila fuses her innate draw toward the eccentric with each brand’s advertising methods to produce work that continues to compel. The nature of Camila’s work is based in a melding of preservation and modernity within visual narratives.

Camila Cornelsen is a Brazilian director, photographer, and cinematographer. She grew up influenced by her dad, a photographer, and by her mom, a producer. After working a few years with Fashion Photography and Portraits, she studied cinematography. In the last 9 years, Camila has lensed three feature films, an HBO and a Disney series, various commercials, music videos, and short documentaries. Slowly she started taking an interest in directing films, and it’s been 6 years since her first documentary. She has worked for major international brands such as NIKE, APPLE, GOOGLE, INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK, PUMA, AVON, VOGUE, NETFLIX, LUSH, and many agencies including JWT, F/NAZCA SAATCHI & SAATCHI, WIEDEN KENNEDY, DPZ&T, AQKA, RGA, TBWA/LEW LARA. Her main interest is to creatively help projects with unique images and narratives.
